Lilash Compared With Latisse

There are two popular products on the market today: Lilash and Latisse. These are eyelash enhancers that promote the growth of your own eyelashes in just a few months time. So, how do you know which one to pick? Here are the pros and cons of each.

Lilash Purified Eyelash Stimulator

• $139.97 a tube which lasts for five months
• Applied as a liquid eyeliner
• Clear and dries in 2-3 minutes
• Has natural extracts to condition and prevent dryness and brittleness
• Grow eyelashes in 3-8 weeks
• Once results are shown, maintenance is required 2-3 times per weeks afterwards
• If discontinued, eyelashes will return to original thickness

Latisse

• By prescription only – you will need to approval of your doctor to obtain a prescription for Latisse
• Is a bimatropost opthalmic solution. It was originally created to treat glaucoma, but eyelash growth happened to be the side effect
• Most insurance does not cover because it’s for cosmetic purposes
• $125-165 a tube (depending on where you live) which lasts for two months
• Applied as a liquid eyeliner
• Grow eyelashes in 8 weeks, but with continued use, full results are shown in 12-16 weeks
• Does not have anything to condition lashes or to keep them from feeling brittle
• If discontinued, eyelashes will return to original thickness

Both of these products are very similar to one another. They’re both applied in a mascara-like way, and the results are about the same. However, you’ll get the most bang for your buck with Lilash, which for around the same price lasts five months instead of only two. It can also provide conditioning treatments with your lashes, whereas Latisse does not. Also, with Latisse, you will need a prescription, and if your insurance doesn’t cover it, it will be pretty expensive out of pocket. Overall, both products work in the same way. It’s up to your preference which brand would suit you better.
