Dior has so many formulas of mascara it’s hard to pick a favorite. I’ve tried so many over the years but most recently repurchased the Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer ($29.50, one of the best lash primers) and the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara ($29.50). I have many makeup brushes, and I splurged and paid a lot for this brush, thinking it was worth it if I kept if for a couple years. It is not luxurious. I feels like something cheap. There are three main types of blush: Powder, cream, and liquid. And because I tend to use all three, I switch off between a few—use a fluffier, round, or angled brush for powder blush and a stippling, or denser brush for liquid and cream blushes.

ARRIVALS DIOR Backstage Powder Brush 14 Sonia recommends using brushes that are medium density and aren’t floppy. “Depending on the pigmentation of the product, a firm brush that moves smoothly and with discipline will apply and diffuse them more effortlessly,” she explains. “If you feel that you need to press very hard to get enough product onto the brush, this may end up damaging your brush as the bristles will weaken and break, so pick up a denser or firmer brush.”
